Review: Holika Holika Oil Queen Cotton Primer SPF 15

Hello ladies!!!

How's it going?  I hope life does not suck out the best in you hehehe... wow I kind of sound sour.  Well,  I promised last time that I'll be droppin' here frequently but I guess I broke off my word (sad face).  Awwww life had been pretty rough but God knows how I try to be tough (drama queen mode) hehehe.  Enough of my rants and let us proceed with something that can make us all smile... make up hahaha.  For tonight's review,  I'll be sharing my musings on Holika Holika Oil Queen Cotton Primer.  This has been sitting for quite sometime on my dresser but it's only this month that I have the chance to road test it.
Product Description
Holika Holika Oil Queen Cotton Primer is a transparent make up base that is formulated to control oil while keeping the skin soft, pure and protected with its SPF 15. It does not contain mineral oil, Paraben, Talc, Vaseline and Ethanol.

Key Ingredients and their benefits (brief) :

Iceland Glacial Milk - It has great skin hydration and anti-aging properties and complexion brightening effects.
Green Tea Extract - A very popular and acknowledged skincare ingredient with anti-inflammatory agent which can reduce and heal skin problems and infections.
Calamine - It calms down irritated oily and acne prone skin.

Availability:  I think Holika Holika is not yet sold locally but it can be pre-ordered or bought online.  I got mine from Korean Cosmetics PH.

Packaging
As seen on the first picture (above), this primer comes in a pretty turquoise and orange-y box and in a sturdy-opaque-plastic bottle (photo below).  Prolly' the only flaw of an opaque container would be the fact that you can't see when you're running out of the product and you want to repurchase before you consume it plus since it is a hard plastic bottle, you won't be able to cut the tube out and use every drop of the product like what I always do on my make ups packaged in squeeze-it-type tubes hehehe.
The pout is also protected by a tiny covering which prevents the primer from spilling or from drying up.
It has also a conventional yet functional pump that can be controlled when dispensing the needed amount of the product.
As for the consistency, the primer has the right texture of runny-ness and thickness.  I like that it can be spread and blended easily on either bare face or prepped face with moisturizer or sunblock.
As for the color,  you might think that it is uberly fair for my complexion but mind you, this primer is really transparent and won't show a bit once blended which is good coz it won't alter the shade of the foundie or bb you'll use on top.  As for the coverage, since this is a very sheer primer, don't expect that it can conceal any imperfections the skin have.
The scent is much much loved.  I find it powder-y and baby-ish which gradually fades as soon as the primer sets.
As for the oil control,  I must say I am really impressed by how it has improved the oiliness of my skin.  I usually use this after my moisturizer on mornings (around 8am) topped with my current two-way cake powder and it does great in keeping its promise. To those who have been visiting my site knew how greasy my skin innately and this primer some how prevented that.  Well, I touch up my make up by lunch time around 12:30 pm to be exact.  So I guess, I have 4 hours before I need some blotting paper or tissue rescue hehehe.
Frozen Blossom's thoughts:
I have been using this for more than two weeks now and I'm glad my skin loves it.  No break outs so far.  This is highly recommended for ladies with oily and acne prone skin.

Till next time...good night!!!
