Review: Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream SPF 35 PA++ #02

Good morning Sunday!!!

Today is another undeniably warm day to hit outdoors.  I had been preoccupied with a lot of things that I can't even find time to enjoy a tan.  I mean summer will be over in a month; oh boy I haven't seen the beach and Ilocos has been known for its majestic and really breath takin' white sand beaches.  What a sad reality for me lol.
I think you're guessing it correctly,  I am spending my Sunday at home again:  sleeping,  watching and writing a bit.  It has been a while since the last time I dropped a review on BB creams.  To those who had been frequently visiting Frozen Blossoms knew that I had been battling acne and I have waited long enough for the culprits to clear out before I could use and test products again.  So to kick off, I'll be sharin' my raves on Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream in number 2.
Product Description
Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream is formulated with cornflower extract to stimulate skin renewal  and whitening properties for a livelier and younger skin.  It also has an SPF of 35 with a PA of ++ to protect the skin from harmful UV rays.

01 Pink Beige
02 Natural Beige

Content: 35 ml / 1.18 fl. oz.
Price: PhP265.00
Availability:  all Nature Republic outlets and counters ( I got this from Korean Cosmetics PH)
Packaging - It comes in a conventional squeeze-it-type up-side-down tube.  The back part contains the necessary info which, however,  is mostly written in Hangeul.
It does have the engraved expiration date.  Mine says it will expire on December 2014 (if unopened).  Bear in mind though, that once unsealed / opened, you only have a year to consume it.
Also, it's not designed with an expensive lookin' pump type dispenser which is very common for liquid foundations and bb creams.  It has a decent cap instead to secure the cream from spilling and a cute nozzle that dispenses the desired amount of cream.
Well, I love that I can as well control the amount I want to dispense plus an added pump will mark up the price of the cream I think hehehehe.
As for the cream,  the consistency is not so thick or runny.  I find it light and really easy to work with either by the use of my brushes or my fingers.  It does not dry or set that fast so I don't have to work fast on blending.  I mean, I can always take time to buff it without the fear of patchy make up which we usually get from the super matte foundie type.
As for the coverage,  this can conceal minor to medium traces of blemishes.  It is okay to build it but I find it kinda white in full coverage. So, just put a tamed amount to avoid the obvious "bbfied" face (which I'm guilty of sometimes) hehehe.
Aside from that, it gives a subtle dewy finish which might be troublesome for others who want a matte finish.
As for the oil control, I oil up faster when not veiled with a loose powder.  My skin is innately oily though.
Frozen Blossoms' thoughts:
I had been using this since my acne on my jaw area started to clear out and so far, I am not having any harsh reaction from it.  I got 2 bumps but I think it was PMS related.

So I guess, that's it for today.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Mwahhhhh

Review: Nature Republic By Flower Powder Pact #23

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

The Ilocos' blazing heat is too much to handle lately.  I know it's summer but the temperature makes me exhausted and kinda sickly most of the time.  Just an advise, drink lots of water to avoid dehydration,  take a cold shower to lower body temp, avoid too much coffee, and never leave the house without putting on a sunblock.

Lemme share, my 'powder-best friend" while I was undergoing skin treatment... the Nature Republic By Flower Powder Pact in shade 23.
Product Description
Nature Republic By Nature Powder Pact is a light and transparent pressed powder formulated with cornflower to keep the skin calm, healthy looking, supple and clean like the baby skin.

Four (4) Non-added Formula
  1. Oil Pigments
  2. Mineral oils
  3. Animal Oils
  4. Benzophenone
No. 21 Nude Beige
No. 23 Natural Beige

Net Content: 12g
Price: PhP295.00
Availability:  All Nature Republic outlets and counters  (I got mine from Korean Cosmetics PH though)

While I was undergoing treatment for my acne problems on my jaw area,  I was advised to skip make up for a while.  However, my work requires me to look presentable at least so I took a risk and opted to use a light and oil free powder just to tone down the shininess of my face and to even out the redness.
The packaging is in a sturdy and conventional compact type super handy enough to bring it for anytime touch ups.
It comes with a soft and washable puff for easy and light application.
It also has a plastic separator to keep the used puff from getting in contact with the pressed powder.  So, sorry I was not able to get a pic of the powder before I used it.  As you can see on the picture below, I am almost finished with this one =).
I opted to get the #23 Natural Beige - a shade fit for medium to fair skin.
Talc - I have been using this for months now,  I only apply a little on areas that shine the most after the prescribed skincare. Though it is the pressed powder type,  it hugs the skin nicely especially after the sunblock.  It does not feel starchy at all instead velvety.
Coverage - It is very sheer so don't expect that it can conceal blemishes or imperfections. But for ladies who are blessed with clear skin this will work well alone.
Staying power - Since it is pressed powder type,  you need to retouch from time to time for it does not stay that long like a foundation would normally do.  It is great to veil your favorite liquid foundie or bb cream though.

Frozen Blossoms' thoughts:
The simplicity of this compact is very well acknowledged. It kept me look decent despite all the break outs, it did not contribute to further irritation and it kept me company all through the times that I have stayed away from heavy make ups like foundation and bb creams.

So I guess I need to get a nap now ladies... till next time, Anneong!!!

Random Thoughts: My April Love

April is the heart of summer when the pretty Sakura starts to blossom majestically, a month I am most grateful for.  I had been journeying in this furrow for 33 years now, still oblivious, anxious and famished for bliss and passion.
My trek was never remorseless,  I have encountered countless misery, have met people who made an exceptional impression while some just came to teach me lessons, still I feel fortunate.  For every laugh I share, smile I flash and tears I shed;  I was molded and I gleamed more than anybody could imagine.

This year is indeed overwhelming... (just sayin')
"Sarang" comes unexpectedly...and when it does,  the person you were is no longer the same and that change is inevitable.
