Review: Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover

Hello ladies!!!

It has been a long weekend for most and I'm equally ecstatic coz it only means a lovely break from the uberly demanding and fast-paced corporate world.  Everybody deserves to have fun ayt?  I have been doin' that in between busy schedules and I'm lovin' every bit of it.  That's the reason I seldom drop something worthwhile in my corner now...I'm living my life the way I wanna remember it when I grow old.
So before I go out and laugh my heart out again... lemme just share something I got from a good friend, the Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover.
Product Description
Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action makeup Remover is a new sensory experience of cleansing and pure pampering formulated in a double-phase liquid fresh as a water yet removes even waterproof eye makeup.
  1. Gentle enough for the sensitive eyes
  2. Ophthalmologist-Tested
  3. Fine for all skin types
Content: 4.2 FL. OZ. (125ml)
Price: USD26.00
Availability:  Available at all Lancome makeup counters
Below are the list of ingredients / contents for your reference.
Packaging wise, it comes in a transparent high-grade plastic container with a twist-it-type lid to secure the solution from spilling.  I find it convenient to bring around especially when travelling.  The container is not so gigantic and it won't eat up too much space of the vanity purse plus the cap securely locks that you won't worry of spilling the content all over your stuff.
This is not in the usual pump-type dispenser like other make up remover so be careful to dispense a lot when gettin' some.  The good thing about this type of nozzle though is that the user is in control of the amount she needs.
As for the eye makeup remover itself, the consistency is half watery, half foamy and half oil-y.  You can see the partition when it is settled where in the liquid part lies underneath while the foamy oil is on top.

As for the scent, I love the sexy vanilla-ish fragrance which can be a lot calming especially at night time.   It relaxes my senses while I remove my make up hahaha.

And as for it's efficiency,  I have tried it with the make ups I use that are really hard to remove by just washing the face.  My eyeliners and mascara usually leave dark traces under my upper and lower eyelids after I directly wash my face.
First set, my favorite pitch black and really pigmeted eyeliners: MAC Graphblack Technakohl Liner Eye-Liner Kajal, Lancome Le Crayon Kohl Black Ebony and Etude House Drawing Show Creamy Liner.
How to use:
  1. Shake well.
  2. Dispense an adequate amount on a cotton ball or a cotton pad
  3. Wipe the area.
As seen on the picture below,  the marks were dissolved in a instant with a really light wiping from the cotton with  remover.
A few more wipes and voila you are now ready to go and wash your face without gettin' the panda eye look  after.  I did not use any second cleaning here coz all the light traces will be cleaned when you wash your face off.  What is important is that it won't leave you with stains under your eyes that can make you look scary and wasted in the morning plus good eye make up removers are really really pricey so just use a bit of it.
The next picture will show my favorite mascaras and most of them are waterproof and smudge proof.
Etude House Color My Brows n #01, TheFACESHOP Face it Extreme Mascara, Tony Moly Simply Style Slim Mascara, Benefit Badgal Lash Mascara and MAC ZOOM Lash.
It did dissolve all the particles with just one swipe of the cotton pad without all the tugging and heavy smudging just to get rid of all the dark marks.  I love it that I spare my "aging" eyes with all the trauma that can contribute more to premature lines and sagging
Frozen Blossoms' thoughts:
I love the fact that I don't put too much stress on my eyes just like the old times.  No more harsh rubbing, heavy wiping or continuous smudging just to get my black eyeliners off my lids. The mild solution keeps my eyes refreshed, relaxed, and cleansed without irritating them.  Yes, this feels so mild I don't feel any discomfort when it comes contact with my precious eyes.

So till here and of course  I'll have this again!!!

Event: Carnival de Rainhas 2 @ NBC Tent

Hello everyone!!!

Mark your calendars now!  The Regina Iustitiae Sorority (Sorore Lex Atheneum), a sorority composed of law students of the Ateneo Law School, is holding a 1-day fair and carnival event at the The NBC Tent, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig entitled “Carnival de Rainhas II”. It will be held on April 7, 2013, Sunday, from 10:00AM to 9:00PM.
Carnival de Rainhas literally translates to Carnival of Queens and is in fact held annually in the city of Bethlehem, Brazil a month before Easter. The Carnival is considered as a farewell to negative things, as well as a preparation for the coming of Easter. In relation to our event, we will be holding it not only as a way to say goodbye to the school year, but also to usher in the summer season with a bang!

This year’s event is the second installment of Carnival de Rainhas, which we held last year at the Rockwell Tent. Last year’s event was truly a success! We had over 60 concessionaires then, providing our bazaar goers with tons of choices not only as to the products that they can buy, comprising of food, clothes, make-up, bags, shoes, accessories and household items, but also as to the fun-filled activities they could immerse themselves in, such as various game booths, caricature booths, figurine painting booths, face painting and glitter tattoo booths, and the like.

This year’s event will be held in the same vein as last year: only bigger and brighter! We will have over 100 food and non-food concessionaires, several game booths, inflatable castles, and concessionaires offering services geared towards the young and young at heart, such as face painting, balloon twisting, caricature drawing, fortune telling and many more. The event truly promises to be an entertaining and fun way to spend Sunday with family and friends.

Random Thoughts: Lucid Sunday

Good morning world!!!

Another thought from Frozen Blossoms' heart...

I often laugh my heart out so loud because he makes me the happiest
I cry because he makes me laugh so hard
I smile like an idiot everyday because his gaze meets my soul
I am breathing because he brings me life
I am fluttered because he makes me feel so extraordinary
I am blessed because he makes me feel I am everything
And I am thankful because I got his back when everything is falling apart

My mind may not be as lucid as the Sunday skies but I hope you can see through the sincerity of my heart.

Review: Tony Moly Floria Bloom Ball Blusher 01 White Glow

Hey ladies!!!

How's your day?  I hope it went well.   Honestly, Mondays are always distressing.  I find it kinda difficult to shift my mood into working my a$$ off especially when I had a terrific weekend hehehe.  To rant a bit, my Sunday was something I'll never get tired of reminiscin' over and over again.  Things happen and all of a sudden we are no longer the same hahaha.  Aigoo, enough of my EMO self and let's get going with what's cookin' on Frozen Blossoms.
Product Description
Tony Moly Floria Bloom Ball Blusher is made of oven baked powder in pretty and tiny ball form which makes the skin shimmery and pearly.

Variants:
01 White Glow
02 Pink Glow

Net Content:  12g
Price: PhP490.00 - sale price at Korean Cosmetics for Less
Availability:  all Tony Moly outlet and counters
I choose the 01 in White Glow since I have stashed a considerable amount of pink blush ons.  The baked balls look like yummy marshmallows ayt?
Below is an upclose pic of how dainty the colors are...pastels for an instant radiant skin.  It's best to swipe just a tad amount using a highlighter brush on areas that need emphasis (I love to use this on parts that get hit by the light first)  to avoid caking.  Sadly, if you put  too much, this thing can cake up the foundation.
Packaging wise, it is made of a sturdy plastic tub with the brush attached to its cap.  The design is not quite handy. It will occupy most of the space in your pouch hehehe.
The cap / cover looks a little odd but mind you this is really innovative since the blush brush is incorporated inside.
The upper part of the cover is the retractable blush brush.
It feels a bit rubbery on skin because it is densely packed with synthetic hair.  I find it hard to use though.
A closer look of the short-y brush. =)
Likes:
  • love the subtle shimmers it provides without makin' you look like a disco ball
  • it does not highlight pores (just put a little though)
  • it's translucent, so you can mix it up with you favorite blush on
  • it does not make you look greasy
  • if you're a matte-make up dan then this thing won't work for you
  • it looks good on bare / clear skin
dislikes
  • the tub is not very handy
  • it can cake up the foundation when too much is applied
  • brush =(
Frozen Blossoms' thoughts:
I have been battling acne for like 3 months now, but in instances where I wanna conceal the culprits, I swirl a bit of this on top of the foundation to keep my dull skin lookin' healthy and awake.

It's almost morning... bye ladies!!!

Review: It's Skin Color Play Mineral Powder Foundation #21 Light Beige

Hey ladies!!!

Ilocos sunshine is beaming today and I'm in an equally bright mood to post a new review.  I know I had been idle these previous weeks and I'd like to say sowee guys.  So, to cut the chase short I'll be sharing my new baby for this month... the It's Skin Color Play Mineral Powder Foundation in #21.
Product Description
Color Mineral Powder Foundation is a skin nurturing and a dermatologist-tested powder which contains natural ingredients for a glossy, seamless and smooth coverage. It is a foundation, pact and highlighter in one.

Variants
#21 Light Beige
#23 Natural Beige

Net Content 5g
Price: PhP325.00
Availability:  It's Skin is not yet available in the Philippines but you can pre-order it online.  I got mine from Korean Cosmetics PH
Packaging -  It looks Revlon-ish right?  From the usual cute-y packaging, this one is more on the grown up style,  a side I'm definitely more familiar with lol.  The pictures below show the descriptions which are mainly in Korean except for some important details to foreign buyers like me.
It comes in a futuristic-looking plastic tub that is quite handy for easy touch ups =).
Again, I suggest you remove half of the sticker to avoid dispensing too much of the precious loose powder.  I find the sifter quite gigantic hehehe.
The puff is attached to the cover and it feels a bit rubbery just like the puff used for liquid foundations.  And as seen below, it is quite soaked with powder hehehe.
You can wash it though, however since it is permanently attached to the handle, you may find inconvenience drying out the other end.
It's no secret that I have been battling acne these past 3 months that is why I decided to give mineral make up a try.
First,  I opted to have the lighter color #21 Light Beige which fits medium to fair Asian skin.  I like that it is a loose powder type of foundation which means I can enjoy another extra coverage apart from my bb cream, it prettily sets and veils my make up without making me look heavily done.
The powder is also nicely milled so it fills all the spaces I have missed.  As for the oil control,  it decently does its job for I only blot my face every 4 hours.

Frozen Blossoms' thoughts:
Thanks to my Nichkhun fangirling I discovered this brand.  I love this powder so much for it helps me look presentable despite the recurring break outs.  I will definitely repurchase once I ran out of it.

PS... Life is a bit bumpy and tricky lately, however the hurdles  make me excited.  Thanks to YOU for never failing to make me smile.  Hey "ae-gi" bogosipeo always.

Goodnight girls.
