Chanel Soft Pressed Powder

Poudre Douce
Poudre Tendre Pressee
80 Peche Powder

Thanks God it’s Saturday again!!!
Let me just share something my Aunt Rina gave to me – My luxurious Chanel Soft Pressed Powder from Paris Gallery (DH218).  A bit pricey for a pressed powder but thank you very much Auntie, I really love it (I can’t afford it with my own money actually hehehe)!!!
The powder came in a box which is a picture of sophistication and elegance, ivory black and gold. I can imagine it telling me, “Handle me with care sweetheart.” =) So IT Girl!!!  The powder is in stylish shiny black compact with a velvet pouch, to keep it from scratches.  It has a puff in a separate pouch, very soft it felt like a feather on skin which makes it very hygienic (used puff does not have to stay in contact with the powder).
The box, already messed up from my piles of make ups.

The compact and the puff in velvet pouch

“The beauty of sheer loose powder in a convenient compact for application any time, anywhere.  Sets and perfects make up, while light-reflecting pigments enhance and highlight skin’s natural radiance.”  Chanel.com
Chanel soft pressed powder is very light and very very translucent.  It can’t conceal blemishes though if used alone.  However, it is very good to set your favorite bb cream or any foundation (designed for this actually).  But I love wearing it without any makeup, I usually apply it on easy days where I have all the luxury time to check myself and in occasions that I need not make my face too much for strolling, malling, movies and others.  Well, my face is literally greasy, this pressed powder won’t really last long.

Frozen Blossoms’ thoughts…
This is very ideal for normal to not so oily skin.
It didn’t cause my skin to break out, it is very translucent and it felt so light on (as if it’s bare).  As much as it made me feel like a movie star, I think it is very impractical to invest in a very expensive pressed powder unless you have all the means (very costly very high end).  Don’t get me wrong auntie I love it!!!  If ever, I will receive another Chanel as a present I will accept it with arms wide open!!! Lol
Good night!!!
PS... I actually wrote this last night but I was already too sleepy to post it...=)

BENEFIT – Your Brightening Makeup

Good evening ladies,
This morning, I was surprised by a very nice package.  Leah, my boss and kumare (godmother to my son),  handed it to me – a gift set!   It was a present from my other kumare overseas, Miles.  I was blown away by the sexy hot pink box which says Finding Mr. Bright, Your Brightening Makeup Manual from Benefit.  I quickly opened it with all smiles.  The lovely gift set contains four Benefit products and I can’t wait to try each one asap.  I hurried to our backroom (office), read the manual and tried all of them.  Indeed, a perfect timing for the weekend. =)
A it's adorable!

B it's so beautiful!
I’ll just recap the cutie manual… it says
“My 5 tips to finding mr. bright” by Miss Thing…aka “The Dating Doctor.”
C it's so cutie and full of charm!
1.   Girl meets Pearl
For allover lit-from-within glow, lightly blend this golden pink liquid pearl accent on top of makeup…or wear it alone, anytime you want his gaze to linger.  He’ll be begging to know, “Who’s that foxy girl in pearl?”

This morning I was already made with my favorite makeup routine—pore balm topped with my BB cream.  So I decided to wear and blend it on top all over my face. (It came in lilac tube.) It was just stunning, I love the natural pinkish glow of my face.  It didn’t feel greasy at all.  And it was so light after it already set off.

2.    Posietint
“Get a natural, poppy-pink flush to rival the girl next door…apply 3 small strokes of this long-wearing tint onto the apples of your cheeks & blend quickly with your fingertips in an outward sweeping motion.  Layer for more color… it’s kiss-proof, of course!”

While I’m chatting with my colleagues in the backroom of our office, I was busy trying the cheek tint (the glamorous metallic pink bottle is so adorable).  =) As instructed, I applied an adequate amount on my cheeks and used my finger tips to blend it outward.  Miles was right, the tint is not tacky.  It gave me a natural baby pink blush (giggles).  I am in love!
I’ll try it on my lips tomorrow. =)
3.   High Beam
“Irresistible to any man, I’m a guaranteed “pick me up”… wear me as a liquid spotlight for your cheekbones, brow bone & bridge of your nose.  The effect is dream… the proof is in your sudden surge in suitors.”

Then, I applied this luminescent complexion enhancer on my cheekbones.  They made it more prominent and higher, thus I felt youthful.  I also brushed some on my brow bones highlighting my eyes, making them look brighter.  I applied the same on the bridge of my nose.  I love how it emphasized the focal point of m face, my nose. Perfect!

4.   Erase Paste
“ What he can’t see won’t hurt him! Erase the look of flaws in a flash with this creamy, industrial- strength concealer… dab a dot on imperfections or swipe it under your eyes to help reduce the appearance o dark circles & discoloration until dawn. Presto…perfection!”
The clock was already ticking, my post is calling me to start my work!  Gee!  I will try this soon, and I will write a separate review or perhaps update on this post. =)

5.       Look for love in all the right places… find mr. bright in your makeup bag!!!
Frozen Blossoms’ thoughts…
Thank you so much my Kumareng Miles for my first ever Benefit makeup.  I love every bit and I can’t wait to check out the other products!!!
I had a not so cool Friday ending but your gift made my day!!!
Good night!!!

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint (Pink and Peach)

Ain’t got the lovely lips?  Well, today I’m blogging about Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in pink and peach tones.  Actually, these tints were my gifts to my officemates Tina (in exchange of a favor),  Leila (present for her birthday) and Coy (sent the item to Middle East).  Thankfully, they loved the products and they were unselfish enough to help me with these review (except for Coy,  I wasn’t able to get a picture of her wearing the pink tint but her insights were helpful as well).
Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint
The concept of this tint collection is a combination of creamy milk moisture plus cherry tint. It may be red, pink or peach.  It promises to accentuate lips with a naturally blushed and moist look.
Packaging
Etude House is always known for its adorable and very dainty packaging.  It came in a pastel colored bottle with a white cover.  It comes with a tip brush applicator that makes it easier to even out the tint.

Scent
It smells like cured cherries actually, but the scent gradually fades as the tint dries in the lips.  I did try Coy’s pink one before I sent it to her. Hehehe.
Effect on lips
I think the colors offered have different effect depending on the color of the lips.  The color is more vivid for pale pinkish lips. For darker toned lips, the color expected will not be that vibrant because it will actually blend.
Tina's bare lips (upper) and Pink tint coated luscious lips with her favorite lipgloss.

Leila's bare lips (upper) and Peach Tint coated cute lips (lower). Color actually blended with her lip tone.

The product is actually full of moist that improves lip texture by lessening the wrinkly lines.  After applying, the tint eventually dries out after a few seconds.  You’ll never worry that it will bleed or it will smear and I think it is actually better to top it off with your favorite balm, gloss or sheener.
The jackpot on this collection is the staying power.  You can still have that lovey dovey lips even after eating your meals in between.  Nice ha?  No worries of frequent retouching plus the fact that you will be showcasing naturally blushed lips.
Frozen Blossoms’ thoughts…
I personally love this collection and I’m really dying to have my own soon.  Kissing is not messy with this… no stains!  I wanna grab it now!!! Muah…

Etude House Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blusher #1

Hellowww, it’s been a while since I posted something in my blog.  It has been raining like wild lately and I really missed summer.  I decided to have a sun-kissed look on rainy days. Weird no (lol)?  Etude house Miss Tangerine Collection Cream Choux Blusher made it possible.
What about it…
It is a cheek blusher that comes in creamy silky powder designed to bring out the natural radiance and vitality of the skin.

Texture
Choux was defined in culinary as a cream paste / fillings used in making cream puffs and ├ęclairs.  This blusher looks like a dessert fillings – thick and smooth if you squeezed it out from the tube.  How interesting, right?
Choux in vivid orange
very thick
Color
#1 Miss Tangerine comes in vibrant orange / tangerine color.  It gives you a matte and tanned nicely cheeks look.
Just make sure not to apply too much if you don’t want to get a sun burnt look. =)

Frozen Blossoms’ Thoughts…
This blusher is pretty nice if you want a sun-kissed look, well if you want to showcase a different blush then you can have the other 3 variants of this choux blusher.  Give your cheeks a nice tint and feel the beauty of summer during rainy days...

Lioele Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base - Pink

Oh my fellow Henecians!!!   Few more sleeps to go and KHJ will be in our midst.  And in preparation for this highly anticipated event, I have been in a quest to find something that will boost our skin.  A product that will make us stand out while cheering, catching KHJ’s eyes…hehehe sadly it is not something from the cosmetic line he is currently endorsing.  It is the Lioele Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base…
The sample size I got.
What about it…
“Lioele Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base is a make up base with waterproof and shining effect.”  It is infused with amino acid ingredients, it keeps skin moist, it contains pearl extract that makes skin more pompous, glamorous and shimmering.
Texture, Color and Scent
The consistency is lotion like in pearly glaze pink (It looks like a frosted baby pink nail polish hehehe). It comes with a sweet citrus scent that gradually fades as the product sets.  I like how the scent comforts me while applying it on my face.

upclose
Effect on skin
I recommend this in areas that need highlighting like cheekbones or the t-zone.  It tends to be oily when applied to whole face as a base (not suitable for very oily skin type). So I like to use it as a highlighter after my Lioele Triple The Solution BB cream.  It gives my cheekbones a pretty light glowing light pink tint. But dear ladies, if you want to have a bright skin, then this has to be your base.

Frozen blossoms’ thoughts…
I’m addicted to Korean cosmetics and Lioele is one of the top and favorite product in my list.  It is a great buy.  Feel your womanhood, flaunt your good skin and highlight it with this fabulous shimmering base!!!
As usual I Love Lioele!!!
Good night!!!

A fatal attraction to cuteness - Harajuku Lovers Fragrance

Good afternoon fellas!
Today is such a warm Sunday and I am writing once more to share something delightful after our usual lunch (together with my two boys, Rex and Remus).
It’s been a while since I got this Harajuku Lovers fragrance from a good friend overseas (Hawaii) who shares same passion with me (Kim Hyun Joong and Jang Geun Suk).  She gave me a limited edition “Snow Bunnies” G.  The spray was packaged in pretty white box with baby blue details adorned with a blonde Japanese doll.  I just can’t take my eyes off this exquisite perfume (one of Gwen Stefani’s creations).  It is fully loaded with 100% cuteness!!!
“The Harajuku Lovers Fragrance was inspired by the youth-oriented street style of the Harajuku district in Tokyo, Japan.” (Gwen for Harajuku Tokyo, Japan…Tintin for Hongdae, Korea hihihi)
The collection comes in 5 scents… Baby, Love, Lil’ Angel, Music and G (I got the G scent as a present).  It comes with a round flower-shaped crystal clear bottle covered with a cute doll, G which represents Gwen.  It really stands out from my perfume collections.  I just love looking at it.
“G was developed by perfumer Steve DeMercado, with notes of mandarin, coconut, apple skin, jasmine sambac, freesia, magnolia, coconut cream, white sandalwoods and cottonwoods.”  The scent is not so high but it is really fun.  I love it!!!
Honestly, I just sprayed it once, not because I dislike it but because I want to keep it forever and just stay safely in her box .  I might as well buy the other four fragrances in the future (hehehe).

Again thank you Mish for this wonderful gift!!!
Friends for keeps.

Etude House Color My Brows - #01 Rich Brown

I was still young when Brooke Shields’ eyebrows became fad.  They accentuate the gorgeous eyes and they complete her lovely smile.  Well, gone are those days of bushy and thick eyebrows (trend during the 80’s…).  Thankfully…hehehe… I was not blessed with such eyebrows.
I’m blogging again with a newly found creation – Etude House Color My Brows.  I still need a visible and well-groomed eyebrow though.  I have been into pencil eyeliners ever since to shade my brows.  However, I had problems with frequent retouching from time to time since they come off when I sweat or when my face turns oily (how embarrassing…).  I felt like an incomplete painting.  So here goes a brief review of the product…
What about it…
Etude House Color My Brows is a liquid eyebrow liner that comes in a wand with mascara comb to set, shade and moisten the brows for a refined natural look. I got the #01 Rich Brown color to match my hair and my skin tone.
It comes with a very exquisite packaging.
Brow Mascara

How to use it…
Make sure eyebrows are trimmed or well-groomed, if you have not so thin eyebrows (hair are still visible from apart), you can directly comb them with the wand to enhance the color.  But if you have thin eyebrows, you can shade it first with a waterproof eyebrow color then top it off with the brow mascara to make the hair thicker. The hair strands get coated as you comb it with wand thus making it look like your brows have more hair. =)

Frozen Blossoms’ thoughts…
What I love about this product is how it makes my eyebrows look thicker without giving me the tattooed eyebrows look.  The color is so subtle and natural.  You’ll definitely fall in love once you try it.
Good night… =)

It is a tip-type concealer which has a brightening function.  It helps cover and correct under eye circles and discoloration.  It can make wonders to a tired, stressed, and sleepless eyes.  It goes with two shades, the light beige #21 and the natural beige #23.  Both are best formulated for women with fair skin.  I got the lighter shade which should be the rule in getting a concealer.

Missha The Style 4d Mascara
It comes with a thick brush that helps apply rich amount into eyelashes, coats them with mascara liquid that makes them thicker and sculpts fibers for lashes that makes them doubly longer, denser and richer in volume without smudges and lumps. First is to curl your lashes then apply mascara directly from root to tips using the brush.

Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever - Pore Primer Essence

Hella fellas… It was pretty exhausting in the office today.  I’ll just babble a bit tonight.  I can’t just stop imparting marvelous things.
I just tried another sample this morning – the Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Pore Primer Essence.  I’m blessed with a generous reseller who sends me pack-full of good samples.  She knows my weakness—a single try is enough to make me buy the full-sized item!
What about it
It is a moisturizing make up primer that masks pores, restrains sebum, and improves make up coverage for a smooth skin look.

How to use it
Just apply an ample amount on face after cleansing, allow it to dry and top it off with your favorite foundation or BB cream.
Effect on skin
It was my first time to try it this morning.  It is a creamy lotion-like fluid which, after applied, is easily absorbed by my skin.  It moisturized my skin and gave me an instant almost dewy finish (not so matte, not so shiny).  I let it set for a few seconds before applying my Etude House Precious Mineral BB cream in Sheer Silky.  I must say the BB cream glided well and it was easier for me to even it out.  (I had trouble blending this in the past because of its ultra matte and very thick texture.)

Frozen Blossoms’ thoughts…
It gets a little bit oily but nevertheless tolerable because instead of a greasy look it rather rendered me glowing.  I did blot it with facial paper once in a while.
It is ideal for not so oily skin type.
Annyeong…=)

Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher

Who would not like a pretty and blooming velvety pinkish skin?  Rosy cheeks ladies… anyone?
So from my usual online hauls, I found this Etude House Peach Cheek Blushes Collection.  I had high hopes.  In short I bought it.  Well, sad to say I was disappointed…
Let us talk about the product first…
It comes in a cute, peach, round container.  It has a foam/puff attached with the cover, like a stamp.  The look is totally new to me (normally blush on comes with brushes).

Color , texture and scent
I got the Happy Pink (#3).  I love the color—baby pink (anything pink is cute to me).  The texture of the blush is between powdery, silky and velvety.  The blush is unscented but the strong odor of the puff mixes with it (very strong rubber scent) which is very disturbing.
Product’s promise
“Stamp blusher creates vivid cheek expression with lovely colors for oil absorbing and long lasting blush.”
Effect
I tried to apply it right after my bb cream to complete my blooming look.  Literally, I stamped it on my cheeks but of course I don’t want a circle blush on so I used my fingers to blend it out.   I was shocked!  I can barely notice any happy pink or rosy cheeks.  All I can see are powdery white cheeks.   My son chuckled when he saw me and said “Mom, check yourself, lessen your powder.”
Most embarassing...
Frozen blossoms thoughts…
Honestly, it made me look like a geisha.  Maybe I just got the wrong product on my skin color and skin type.  It didn’t blend well with my skin. =( Maybe it will to others but that would be the last time I’ll be using it.
